BEHIND THE SCENES OF DIMELO305’S NICA DOCUMENTARY
Dimelo305 takes you behind the scenes of a passion-driven Nica documentary—fully funded and produced by their team. What started as a long-awaited vision is now officially in motion, with the first stories already being filmed. This project marks just the beginning, with many more Nicaraguan voices and stories still to come. Rooted in culture, identity, and community, this documentary is only getting started.
A STORY LONG IN THE MAKING: BEHIND THE SCENES OF DIMELO305’S NICA DOCUMENTARY
There are projects you plan… and then there are projects that live with you.
For us at Dimelo305, this Nica documentary is the second kind.
This is not just another piece of content. It’s a labor of love—fully funded, produced, and carried by our team from the ground up. No shortcuts, no outside agendas. Just a deep belief that this story matters and deserves to be told the right way.
Behind the scenes, this journey is just getting started.
From the earliest conversations, we knew we weren’t just documenting culture—we were documenting identity. The Nicaraguan community has a story filled with resilience, pride, migration, growth, and powerful roots that stretch far beyond borders. And yet, so much of it remains untold or underrepresented in today’s media.
That’s where we stepped in.
Filming days don’t look glamorous. They start early, run long, and are filled with everything from setting up gear in tight spaces to chasing the perfect natural moment. There are retakes, unexpected delays, emotional interviews, and moments where the camera just stays rolling because something real is happening.
And that’s the magic of it.
We’ve already begun sitting down with inspiring voices from the Nicaraguan community—individuals like Mario E. Lopez, Esq., Hazel Solis Rojas, Esq., and Karla Lopez Fernandez, Esq.—but this is only the first step. We’ve just started filming, and there are many more Nicas, many more stories, and many more perspectives still to come.
What makes this project different is intention.
We’re not rushing it. We’re not forcing narratives. We’re listening. We’re learning. And we’re making sure that every frame reflects authenticity—because this isn’t our story to shape, it’s our responsibility to honor.
As a fully self-funded production, every detail comes from us—the vision, the direction, the edits, the long nights going through footage. But that also means every new story captured and every new voice added pushes this project forward.
This documentary has been a long time coming—but more importantly, this is just the beginning.
We’re not just filming a documentary.
We’re building something that will keep growing—story by story, voice by voice—highlighting a community that deserves to be seen, heard, and celebrated.
