EMPOWERING WOMEN THROUGH SELF-DEFENSE IN MIAMI
Blurb: Women from across the community gathered at Vivo Plaza in Dolphin Mall for a powerful and educational Women’s Self-Defense Class led by 2x World Champion Amy Villadiego. The session focused on practical defense techniques, awareness, and building confidence in real-life situations. The free event created a supportive environment where participants could learn valuable safety skills while connecting with others in the community.
STRONGER TOGETHER: WOMEN’S SELF-DEFENSE CLASS EMPOWERS THE COMMUNITY AT VIVO PLAZA
This past weekend, the community came together for an inspiring and empowering Women’s Self-Defense Class at Vivo Plaza in Dolphin Mall, bringing together women from across Miami for a morning focused on confidence, awareness, and personal safety.
Led by Amy Villadiego, 2x World Champion, the session provided participants with hands-on instruction in real-life self-defense techniques designed to help women feel more prepared and empowered in everyday situations. From learning how to react in unexpected scenarios to improving awareness and confidence, the class created a welcoming environment where everyone—regardless of experience level—could learn and grow.
Throughout the session, participants practiced practical defense strategies, learned how to recognize potential threats, and built confidence through guided exercises. Beyond the techniques themselves, the event also served as a reminder of the power of community support and education when it comes to personal safety.
