INSIDE THE HPOA GALA WITH DIMELO305
Dimelo305 attended the HPOA Valentine’s Day Gala not only to capture the event behind the scenes, but to create a platform for law enforcement leaders and community voices to share their stories, experiences, and the meaning behind their service.
The annual Valentine’s Day Gala hosted by the Hispanic Police Officers Association (HPOA) brought together law enforcement leaders, community supporters, and public servants for a night dedicated to recognition, gratitude, and connection. This year’s event honored Deputy Devin Jaramillo as HPOA’s Officer of the Year, celebrating his dedication and service.
Dimelo305 was present throughout the evening capturing the atmosphere behind the scenes, but our role went beyond simply attending. As part of our mission to highlight the people moving our community forward, we created a space for voices within law enforcement and community leadership to share their stories.
Throughout the night, we sat down with a range of personalities and leaders from across the law enforcement community. Conversations included HPOA leadership, members of the Bleeding Blue initiative, police chiefs, representatives from the Police Benevolent Association (PBA), and organizers of community traditions like the Pig Roast that brings officers and residents together.
Each interview offered a glimpse into the personal side of service — the experiences, sacrifices, and motivations that drive these leaders to continue serving their communities. From reflections on leadership and mentorship to stories about building stronger relationships between officers and residents, the evening became more than a celebration; it became a moment of shared purpose.
By giving these leaders a platform, Dimelo305 continues its commitment to highlighting the individuals and organizations working every day to strengthen the connection between law enforcement and the communities they protect.
